Running Wild Films is committed to developing local film in Arizona. Gus Edwards (playwright and film professor) and Travis Mills founded the company in June 2010 with the vision to build an indigenous cinema with actors and crew from Arizona, telling Arizona stories. From the beginning, we set a standard of making movies at a fast pace with small budgets, while focusing on good storytelling. In four years, we have produced over 100 film projects including short films, music videos, and five feature length movies. In 2013 we completed our most ambitious project to date: 52 Short Films in 52 Weeks. Our current projects are a feature film about Phoenix legend Jack Durant titled DURANT’S NEVER CLOSES and our next ambitious endeavor: 12 Western Features in 12 Months.
The Running Wild team continues to grow as we develop new projects and reach out into the community. And the commitment remains the same: to produce challenging work and help build a cinema that thrives in Arizona.
